Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the CLIP app for mobile devices that was created by Youssef Elseifi (the "Service Provider") as a commercial service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
Information Collection and Use
The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:
- Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address)
- The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages
- The operating system you use on your mobile device
The Application collects your device's location to provide location-based proof features — specifically, to attach a GPS location to photos you submit as proof of completing a bet, so your judge can verify where the photo was taken. Location data is stored securely and is only visible to you and your designated judge.
For a better experience, the Application may require you to provide personally identifiable information including phone number, email address, display name, and username. This information is retained and used as described in this privacy policy.
The Application uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to help you create bet descriptions. AI components may process text you provide. All AI processing is performed in accordance with this policy and applicable laws.
Third Party Access
The Application uses the following third-party services:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
- Stripe — payment processing and identity verification (KYC) for withdrawals
- Apple Push Notification service (APNs) — push notifications
- Anthropic (Claude AI) — AI-assisted bet creation
The Service Provider may disclose your information as required by law, to protect rights or safety, or to comply with a legal process.
Payments and Financial Data
Stakes and winnings are processed via Stripe. The Service Provider does not store your full payment card details. Withdrawals require Stripe identity verification (KYC) per financial regulations. In-app balances represent credits redeemable for withdrawal — they are not FDIC-insured deposits.
Opt-Out Rights
You can stop all collection of information by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes available on your mobile device or via the App Store.
Data Retention Policy
The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. To request deletion of your data, contact youssefelseifi@gmail.com.
Children
The Application is not intended for use by persons under the age of 18. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Security
The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your information. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The Service Provider will notify you of changes by updating this page. Continued use of the Application constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
